Workshop 5 _ “Inverted Pascuqan” _ model

Here some pictures of the model:

Workshop 5 _ Urban Place Form _ “Inverted Pascuqan”

This urban typology represents an Utopia.

It is based on the ideal, that  the “Input” to a house can be limited to only two elements.

  1. Consumer goods: Food, toys, luxury goods, daily-life goods.
  2. Clear rainwater

That means, no electricity, no fresh water, no heating and no fresh air is needed from outside.

In a second step, the “Output” is limited to two elements as well:

  1. Clear water, ready to be returned to the earth.
  2. Recycled materials, e.g. usable as building materials.

This utopia will be called “www.Inverted.Pascuqan.net(work)”

Three characteristic and representative elements of the proto urban conditions in Pascuqan are inverted:

  • Walled house  » Courtyard house
  • Waste dump » Waste cycle
  • Water import/export » Local water

But see youself (more explanation will follow)

Workshop 2

After a crit of our Polaroids, with quite interesting results, our task was to create sort of collages/assemblages/montages etc. based on the Polas and our ideas of an ideal, an utopia/exaggerated image of an concept.

So this is it:

  1. In “Gradiation of exposure” you can identify 4 morphological elements – Picture 1 can be an exaggeration.
  2. “Cause and Effect”, an Pola about informality can also be read as a kind of grid, not only formally but also concerning the different grids and layers of reality in suburban Tirana.
  3. And finally, “Limits of responsibility”,  interpreted as a kind of “island” and influenced by the two other collages… we tought could lead to something like this.

But see yourself:

If you feel like, any comment is much welcomed.
